LEARN FIRST, THEN LEAD
- Crew skills: ropework, sail handling, helming & lookout; safety routines (lifejacket use, MOB awareness); assist with Med‑mooring & anchoring
- Skipper skills: plan & execute short coastal passages; pilotage (day/night); apply practical navigation & COLREGs; close‑quarters boat handling
LIVE-aboard weeks
- Courses start every week (Saturday → Friday)
- Explore by island‑hopping (typically 3–5 islands)
- Well‑equipped 45‑foot yachts (ratio of 5 Students : 1 Instructor)
Training Areas
Saronic & Cyclades Islands
Typical week
Saturday evening:
Board Saturday evening at 19:30 for a welcome and on‑board safety briefing.
Sunday – Thursday:
Sail Sunday–Thursday. Hands‑on training with island‑hopping (typically 3–5 islands; route shaped by weather and learning goals). You’ll work on personal safety, seamanship, helmsmanship, pilotage, practical navigation, yacht handling and a night passage.
Friday:
Disembark Friday by 09:00. RYA Day Skipper certificates are issued immediately on successful completion.
Weather & routing note:
Whether we sail to the Saronic or the Cyclades Islands is decided by the Instructor based on the forecast and conditions at the time.
- Basic sailing ability<br>
- Day Skipper theory level (about 40 hours) or equivalent knowledge
