Learn well, calm coaching
Each day sets clear objectives, practical crewing and short debriefs—so you build real sea sense and start to form a connection with the wind during your first live-aboard training week. On successful completion, you’ll earn the RYA Competent Crew certificate—your first step toward Day Skipper.
- Learn ropework, sail handling and helming under guidance
- Practise core safety: lifejacket use, MOB awareness, knots & basic seamanship
- Assist with Med‑mooring, anchoring & close‑quarters manoeuvres as part of the crew
LIVE-aboard week
- Courses start every week (Saturday → Friday)
- Explore by island‑hopping (typically 3–5 islands)
- Well‑equipped 45‑foot yachts (ratio of 5 Students : 1 Instructor)
Training Areas
Saronic & Cyclades Islands
Typical week
Saturday evening:
Board Saturday evening at 19:30 for a welcome and on‑board safety briefing.
Sunday – Thursday:
Sail Sunday–Thursday. Hands‑on training with island‑hopping (typically 3–5 islands; route shaped by weather and learning goals). You’ll work on personal safety, seamanship, helmsmanship, pilotage, practical navigation, yacht handling and a night passage.
Friday:
Disembark Friday by 09:00. RYA Competent Crew certificates are issued immediately on successful completion.
Weather & routing note:
Whether we sail to the Saronic or the Cyclades Islands is decided by the Instructor based on the forecast and conditions at the time.
- Basic sailing ability<br>
- Day Skipper theory level (about 40 hours) or equivalent knowledge

- Accommodation aboard our training yacht

- Travel to/from Alimos Marina (e.g., public bus from ATH airport)
